This book is divided into 5 categories: florals, paisleys, geometrics, conversationals (which includes fruits, veges, animals, landscape), and folk designs. I've enjoyed the folk design chapter as it inclues scandinavian, slavic, mexican, african, and oriental designs. There are 725 motifs in this book which are helpful in a huge variety of artistic endeavors

Art students in high school always return to our well loved, worn out copy of this book.
The kids asked for a new copy for the art library! They love the design work included
in this book for all applications from clay glazing designs to silk screen patterns.

Outstanding book for design inspiration

This is an amazing collection of design ideas from a variety of cultures. I have used it for inspiration for years, and needed to replace my old one. I have made copies for students (I work as a substitute teacher.) to color, and for my face painting idea book. I have used it to inspire my homemade card designs.
