This book is OK. One thing I must mentioned from the onset is; this book is not written to teach you the required English to get your desired band result from IELT.
What is does it to tell you exactly the format of the exam. What to expect and how to expect it. It gives very good guide into translating and and explaining what the examiners will looking for from each section of all the modules of the exam. I wan to assure this book does well in explaining that.

The book covers a didactic and objective test subjects. But looks bad because it has revised some mistakes that confuse the student. Anyway is very valuable and practical, even necessary oiutras sources of knowledge as video lessons and grammar.

I needed an IELTS book, so I searched hard. I found a lot of reviews of this book and everybody said this book is really nice.
It took a little bit of long time to be arrived since it came from Thailand. I realized that after I ordered but it was ok since it arrived safely anyway.
The contents looked great, the CD also arrived safely. The book came in a mint condition. Good purchase.

Some days just are awful

If you love Lemony Snicket's books A Series of Unfortunate Events, you will love this journal. It is hard cover, pages for writing like a journal or diary, with appropriately negative and realistic quotes at the bottom of pages. Example " A miserable experience is a miserable experience, even on the loveliest of mornings" or "In certain cases great enthusiasm can make up for a lack of brainpower." For days too terrible even write about, there are two pages of woeful, black and white, sticker to enhance your notes. I bought three copies... it is a great gift for an adult having a bad year or a pre teen in angst. Sense of humor required. Bound to cheer you. Don't know Lemony Snicket as an author... check him out

Interesting/Clever

The prologue tells about Brady and his girlfriend Sharon skiing.

The first chapter and the rest of the book tells about Brady's current girlfriend Allie. Allie turns out to be a wonderful, caring, sensitive, sensible, perfect girlfriend. But Brady meets very gorgeous Rosha and wants her. I think Brady is stupid to want ditzy Rosha instead of lovely Allie. I think he is making a very bad choice.

Something about Rosha is "weird" and she seems unattainable. But yet, Brady continues to go after her, and he is unwilling to give it up.

There is another "girl" who is an important character in the book: the scarred-face girl.

At the end of the book, Sharon, Allie, Rosha, Brady, and the scarred-face girl are all tied in together in this clever plot. But I will not say how, because I do not want to ruin it. I will say that it is a very clever plot idea.

This is a "teen horror" and I do recommend this book to teens who like a good horrifying horror book. I do not recommend this book to adults, unless they are like me, and sometimes enjoy a less-serious, fun teen book.

O.K, but bad ending

The Perfect Date starts out with Brady and his girlfriend sledding. His girlfriend, Sharon, doesn't want to sled, but he pretty much makes her go. But when Sharon reaches the bottom, she also reaches her death.

A year later Brady is going out with someone new, Allie. But while he's in a restaurant with his friend, Jon, he sees this beautiful girl, Rosha. He goes over and starts to talk to her. And that is when the disastor begins..... While Brady is with Rosha, a mysterious girl with scars all over her face, keeps on warning Brady about Rosha. The big question is, will the Perfect Date turn into the last date?

This book was pretty good in the beginning....but ended really badly. I think the end was too out of place. I don't think it really ended too well...but that's just my opinion.

Dating Is A Scream...

Brady wants nothing more than to put the past behind him. After the sledding accident one year ago that left his girlfriend, Sharon, deformed and dead, he wants a fresh start. And that means a fresh start with girls. Sure, he's Mr. Popularity when it comes to the ladies, but Brady has been unable to stay interested in one girl for long. That is, until he meets Rosha. Rosha is gorgeous ten times over, and is really into Brady. The only problem that comes to Brady's mind when he's with her is the fact that he always gets hurt. Rosha seems to be carrying around some sort of curse that hits Brady each time she's around. Then there's the girl with the scarred face that keeps following Brady around. A girl who looks a lot like Sharon. But Sharon's dead...or so he thinks.

R.L. Stine has a way of turning the simplest story into a complete, and total scream-fest that will leave even the most composed person scared of the dark. Stine's talent is not wasted with THE PERFECT DATE. THE PERFECT DATE features all of Stine's usual elements: teenagers, dating, death, but incorporates one more frightening component that makes THE PERFECT DATE a perfect read: supernatural activity. THE PERFECT DATE is a fabulous combination of horrific gore that makes you cringe, and paranormal phenomena that will leave you begging for more.

About the Author

Peter Hastie received a Ph.D. from the University of Queensland in the field of Human Movement Studies (Education). He is currently a professor at Auburn University in the Department of Health and Human Performance. His courses focus on elementary and secondary school physical education as well as the skills and concepts of sports and other activities. Peter is well known in the physical education community, mainly for his contributions to the study of Sport Education.

Peter is the author of Teaching for Lifetime Physical Activity through Quality High School Physical Education (Benjamin Cummings, 2003). In addition, he is co-author of Complete Guide to Sport Education , along with Daryl Siedentop and Hans van der Mars (Human Kinetics, 2004).

Ellen H. Martin earned her Ph.D. from Auburn University in the field of Physical Education. Currently she is an assistant professor at Columbus State University in the Department of Teacher Education. She teaches courses on assessment, elementary physical education methods, and the history of physical education, recreation, and sport.

Ellen has served for several years as the Bookmark editor for the journal Teaching Elementary Physical Education . She has written several articles and co-authored a chapter for the book Resources for Developmentally Appropriate Practice: Recommendations from the Profession , edited by Gail Perry and Mary S. Duru (National Association for the Education of Young Children, 2000).

Physical Education - Must have if you are thinking of a career as an educator

If you are thinking of a career as an educator at the elementary level (multi-subject) this book is a must have, for your teaching library. It's a great reference tool and invaluable nowadays, since our government has continued to cut back in every possible way, slowly but surely we are losing our PE teachers and classroom teachers are now expected to teach physical education as well as everything else. The textbook is written in an easy to follow format and easy to reference through developmental stages. It will be a fine day when senators have their jobs eliminated due to redundance (HoR) and our children can know what it's like to grow up with PE, Art, Music, Home Ec, Dance and after school sports/activities as part of their regular curriculum.

Excellent resource

This book is well-written and the material very applicable. At first I felt overwhelmed by how much information was presented, but now that I've begun reading the chapters, I see how necessary it is. It is a helpful text and an excellent resource!
